About Uncommon Community
We are all uncommon. We are all unique. We've walked different paths, experienced the world differently, developed different understandings about life and God and faith. But we all have a common need for community, for love, and for an understanding of our place in this world.
Uncommon Community is a group of uncommon people finding common ground discussing the mysteries of life, faith and God. We are a community on a quest of discovery - to grow deeper in understanding, and to test the foundations of the beliefs we each hold. We are a safe and welcoming place for believers and unbelievers alike to wrestle with, and question, ideas of faith and God. We are comfortable knowing that at the end of the day we may not come to agreement and that's ok.
We're not associated with a church, in fact some may think us irreverent for meeting in bars or public places and talking about spiritual issues over a beer, glass of wine or cup of coffee. To that we say, why not? Real life happens in bars. It happens in schools and workplaces, ball fields and grocery stores. It's messy and complex and busy. We want to deep dive into the middle of that chaos and engage people where real life happens. This is our Uncommon Community.
If this sounds of interest to you then we invite you to join us for a drink and discussion about this amazing adventure we call life. We hope to see you at our next Brew Theology KC event!
