What Is Brew Theology?

Brew Theology is a group of people sitting around a table enjoying a drink together while talking about the deep mysteries of life, spirituality, and God. It's a safe space, where people can be honest and open about topics of faith and their spiritual journey. They can ask tough questions and share their beliefs and doubts without judgement. At the end of the night, they know that it’s perfectly fine to disagree with one another.

In other words, it isn’t church or a bible study, and no one is going to be asked to pray, sing, or tithe (although, be sure to tip your server!).

Brew Theology is simply about CONVERSATION
; which in itself is an art form. Good conversations require humility and patience, respect for one another, being present, and a willingness to connect with someone else’s story. It involves vulnerability — a willingness to be surprised, to let go of assumptions, and take in ambiguity.

Of course, Jonathan and Johan, your Brewmaster Theologians, will be part of the conversation and will be sharing with you their experiences and discoveries along with their own thoughts and questions about spirituality and the divine as we journey along this path. Brew Theology is a hospitable space where we will all have the opportunity to wrestle with some of the hard questions of our time. It is to dialogue with friends and wrestle with our doubts and questions.

No matter where you are on your spiritual journey or what you believe, we'd love to have your voice be a part of the conversation. So, why don’t you pull up a chair, grab a brew (cold or hot) and join us? If nothing else, at the end of the night you will go away with some new friends and a boisterous “CHEERS” echoing in your ears!
