Brew Theology KC – May 6th – Lenexa Public Market
Come be a part of Brew Theology KC!
Join us for Brew Theology KC! Grab a beverage, pull up a chair and join the conversation as we dive into theology, life and faith with facilitators Jonathan Foster and Johan Tredoux. No telling where the conversation may lead!
Discussion topic: Three Stages of Creation
God is creative, so He invites us to be creative. He endowed us with the capacity not merely to adapt to our environment but to adapt our environment to ourselves. We, in other words, have the capacity to shape our world for good or for bad.
Facilitator: Johan Tredoux
What Have You Missed in April?
April 1st – At our first event in April we explored Prayer Through the Lens of Open and Relational Theology which says, in the simplest of terms, God is moving thru time with us – the future is not set or predestined; and that God is relational – God is impacting us and being impacted by us but never imposing his will on us.
April 15th – Our 2nd event focused on Prayer After Deconstruction. We discussed 2 different perspectives…Prayer through a Genesis 1 framework – We are the object of God’s love vs a Genesis 3 perspective – We were born a problem for God. Gen 1 – we are always in God’s embrace, Gen 3 – we are trying to get back in God’s embrace.
